a musical cocktail for the soul
Theme: HELP ME JESUS!!
In one of my favorite books, Hope for the Flowers there is a quote that I hold onto every time my life feels like the ‘tumble’ cycle of the clothes dryer.
“Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over, it became a butterfly.”
Sometimes, life throws curve balls at us. And often, they seem to happen all at once too. When it rains it pours.
But your Promised Land might be just around the corner.
In this Musical Cocktail we will focus on casting our worries and deepening our faith.
Our centerpiece Scripture will be Psalm 141:1.
I call to you, LORD, come quickly to me; hear me when I call to you.
Let’s begin:
Say It, Sound It, Seal It
Airwaves are energy.
When we fill them with God-centered praise, anointed music, while saying the Promises of the Bible and BELIEVING, we can break through the barrier of resistance for best living!
I. Say It:
What is the area in your life that you would like to see improve? Health, finances, a relationship?
"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
Jeremiah 29:11
II. Sound It:
This is a prayerful piece of music written by the great JS Bach, who was known as the 4th Evangelist.
Before he wrote a note of music, he penned the letters 'JJ' on top of his manuscript paper 'Jesu Jovi--Jesus Help'. He asked for Divine assistance.
When he finished his masterpiece, he took no credit for it. He wrote the letters 'SDG' To God Alone the Glory.
This piece is called "I Call Unto You." I suggest taking your prayer request from above and casting it to Jesus as you listen. The 1st version is a guided listening meditation that I call a 'Sound Soak'. The 2nd audio clip is the music without voice over. I also include the mp3 files separately in this download.
III. Seal It:
Now its time to take hold of the Promise of the Word of God.
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6
Wrap your prayer in sound and seal it with an unshakeable confidence that it will come to pass. Why? Because the Lord stands on His Word to perform it.
